How do i install iatkos v7

You need to do this for iAtkos to work. After you finish installing Mac OS X, you should change this setting back to default, so that 'Hard Disk' is the first boot device this optional, but it will speed up your boot times.

Keep in mind that the BIOS on most motherboards do not support using a mouse, so you'll probably have to navigate through the BIOS with the arrow keys on your keyboard.

On my Gigabyte motherboard, I have to press F10 to save my changes. Restart your computer. If things go well, your computer will boot into iAtkos instead of booting from your normal hard disk. You will then be able to view the iAtkos menu. In the worst case scenarios, instead of loading the Mac OS X installer, you may end up at a dark gray screen that tells you to restart your computer a kernel panic , or you may end up with a small crossed-out sign a loading error. To enter boot flags, manually restart your computer by pressing your computer's power button.

In the sidebar of Disk Utility, choose the hard drive partition where you want Mountain Lion installed, and erase it by using the 'Erase' tab. You can also just erase the entire hard drive this is the preferred solution if you don't plan to dual-boot Windows and Mac OS X from the same hard drive. In the screenshot below, my hard drive partition is called 'disk0s2', while my entire hard drive is called ' You can also partition the hard disk by using Disk Utility's Partition tab.

If your hard disk uses the MBR partition scheme, iAtkos will install itself onto there without the need for prior modifications. If you want to set up your Hackintosh's hard disks in a RAID 0 array, simply create an array by using the Disk Utility app inside the iAtkos installer see.

Some of the kexts he suggests are crap and unnecessary. Joined: May 7, Messages: 10 Likes Received: 0. Hello folks! I am relatively experienced with hackintosh systems MSI Wind desktop, etc. This is a dual-boot system with Windows XP. WinXP boots and runs fine. I never really have any problem partitioning my HD for dual or even triple boots as I am fairly experienced with that aspect also. I believe I was very careful to select only the minimal options and nothing that would conflict.

I did not select any wired or wireless networking. I did try various sound options, etc. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! The options are listed in the thread I linked viewtopic. Hello hDy.

Thank you. Yes, I actually previously viewed that post and used that info exactly should have mentioned that in my previous post and it did not work for me for some reason kernel panics or endless reboots.

I am not sure if it is something to do with my multiple partitions XP and OSX or the physical presence of the Atheros card have not tried removing it yet! I have quite a bit of experience with this sort of hackintosh stuff but I am finding that the AAOD 10 inch is very finicky in my case when it comes to installing OSX.

It really has me confused that some people report easy success using various distros. I guess I will just have to keep experimenting as time allows. This makes another simple way to have a triple-boot machine. If I ever get it working I will report back here and let everyone know what I discovered! Thanks to all!
